Well I am happy to say that my holiday has gotten alot better since christmas day. We have stayed with relatives in a farm and had lots of good experiences. I also got to see my great Nana. I had alot to do with her two years ago when I went to New Zealand on my own and it was so great to see her. She's 93 now and everytime I say good bye to her you think it might be the last time you see her and you make it special. She is in the hospital at the moment, but will get out soon.

Everything else is going good except one thing. And it isn't exactly a small thing. My Grandad called yesterday from Australia. He has a key to our house while we're away and aparantly yesterday he discoved that a valve had burst in our bathroom and flooded my brothers any my room. This is very bad. I had books after books lined up on the floor under my window and dvd's and cd's and I can't remember what else. I'm not too worried about cd's and dvd's because I can replace them easily. But it's my books that makes me want to cry. They're part of a whole series and it's really hard to get them and I've spent alot of money on these books and time searching for these books. And my poor brother has his guitars in his room and he's freaking out about that. This one special acoustic guitar is 50 years old and was a gift to my brother from my Grandad before he passed away and it is very special to my brother. Luckily we have house and contents insurance. But I'm still freaked out. There are some things that insurance can't replace...like the guitar. And we won't even be able to see how bad things are for another two weeks when we go back to Australia.

It just seems like the devil is determined to ruin our enjoyment of this holiday at every turn. My parents told me not to worry about it because I can't do anything about it. I know what they mean and they're right. But it doesn't make it any easier for me. I worked for all that stuff. I am just praying that other valuables wern't on the floor.

Anyway I'm going to go and try not to think about it. Other then that I'm happy.
