FIFA Soccer World Cup: Australia Vs. Brazil

I actually got up at 2am this morning to watch this game. It was a magnificent game. Australia put up a good fight and there defence was great. Nobody scored in the first half. Australia however had plenty of chances to score a goal. Tthe ball was often just centimetres away from the goal. Brazil managed to score 2 goals in the second half, which lead them to victory. But it was a great game. It was pure luck that Brazil did get those goals, it had nothing to do with skill. Those goals were miracles to the Brazil team. Australia played very well against them and many times proving that they had just as much of a chance to win this game as Brazil. If only Australia had got a goal or two. I swear they had about 7 or 8 chances where the ball came so close. But they played very well considering they were up against one of the best teams the champions of the 2002 FIFA world cup.

But all hope is not lost for the Socceroos. Their next game is with Croatia and they only have to get atleast a Tie to move on to the next round. It really helps that they beat Japan last week.

But I’m so tired this morning. I couldn’t not get up and watch the game though. I knew that if I slept through the game and that by some chance Australia beet Brazil I would regret it forever. I thought that if we lost I’d only regret staying up until I caught up with some sleep.
