Last night we had a church service (we don’t normally have night meetings). We watched a video about how the Da Vinci code isn’t true and what things in the book that they say to make the bible seem fake. This video was just about the proof they have of the bible being real and about how they have manuscripts that date back before Constantine. For those who don’t know much about this whole Da Vinci Code thing. Da Vinci code. They claim that Constantine (the guy who legalised Christianity in 400 AD or something) when legalising Christianity plotted his own spin and made up the fact that Jesus died and rose again and that the truth is that Jesus married Mary Magdalene and had a child. But the truth is there’s simply no evidence to back up this theory, however there’s plenty of evidence to prove those the scriptures are true and that Jesus did in fact die on the cross and rise again.

One of the comments was that in the bible when it mentions how the two women went to the Jesus tomb and found the stone rolled away and then Jesus appeared to them. The comment was that this had to of been true, because if they’d ‘made’ up the story they never would of made Jesus appear first to the women because back in those times women had no say and whatever they said was deemed to have no credibility and that anything a women said back in those times did not count before the Law. So if ‘they’ made up the Resurrection story they wouldn’t of used women as being the first people that Jesus appeared to.

In sad news. We hire our the Seventh Day Adventist church on Sundays as the Seventh Day Adventists have their church on Saturday. We use to lease our building out to them back in the old days. Until we get our own building this is where we go. Anyway the pastor of the Seventh Day Adventist church, his 20 year old son was killed on Friday night on his motorbike. A 4WD was driving on the wrong side of the road and hit him head on. It is so sad. I believe he was also the youth pastor at the church. The thing that makes you realize is how precious life is. He’s only my age and it just hit home how in one second your life can be changed forever.. It is good that he was a Christian. Someone from our church was driving by at the time of the accident and was able to speak to him and check that he was right with God. He died 4 hours later in the hospital. So please pray for the family of this boy and for the church. I just can’t imagine something so horrible.
