SWS - Socialable weirdness syndrome
Well my weekend was good. Friday I went to youth and it was a really great meeting. Had some sad news though. Mike Gug (an Australian evangelist) has been diagnosed with a terminal illness and has been given less then 3 months to live. He was given this same diagnosis a few years and experienced a miraculous healing and testifies to it to this day. But now it's back again and it's sad. So many people hope he gets through it again. He's definately the biggest evangelist in Australia and we were priveledged to have him speak at our youth camp a few years ago and he change lives. He is such an inspiration. So please pray for him.

On saturday night I went to Pete's 21st party. It was good. They had a mechanical surf board and jelly wrestling which I did neither. I was not in a very sociable mood at all and so I just spent most of the time by myself. Do you ever have times like that? Like often it's easy to be part of the party and talk to people and mingle, but other times it's the hardest thing to do and you feel awkward and like it feels weird just approaching a group of people trying to make an effort and you just stand there feeling like an idiot. Well that's what it was like for me on Saturday night. I tore my nails to shreds which I never do. I normally have long nails...not anymore. I just felt anxious and weird. I'm not sure why. Just one of those moments. The good thing about that night was that I got to drive there and home and it was a good experience...scary at times, but good.

On sunday Amber was at church and I havn't seen her in like a month because she was in England. It as great to catch up and I went over to her house and just hang out and looked at photos of her trip and took stupid photos of ourselves. It was great fun. She also lives a long way from my house and I got to drive to and from there as well and so I'm getting lots of driving experience. I really need to just practise hill starts though. I hate them, mostly because I stall it liek 10 times and it's a really scary thing, especially when there's lots of traffic. You feel so stupid. So I figure that if on saturday or something I'll go somewhere with hills and practise starting until I get a 100% success rate. And I need to practise reversing on hills. I never had these problems before in the driving instructor's car. The clutch on my car is long and so you have to let it out heaps before it's even at the friction point. I've gotten use to the clutch more but I'm still shocking at hill starts and reversing on hills which is bad when you've had your license for almost 2 months. I guess no one is perfect when they start driving. But I wish I was. hehe.
Well I'm at work so I must be off.
