Work have yet again blocked all interesting sites. I can't get into my personal email account, facebook, myspace etc. But by far the absolutely worst thing is that I can not get into msn messenger. I do not know how I will survive. There are alot of people that I only really have contact with msn. I am going to miss people alot.

I also do not have internet at home. The parents have broken it. Big suprise!

One small consolation is that blogger is not blocked. I may just be blogging more in future... which makes it sound like blogging is on the least of my priorities. And I admitt that it was. But now it is my only outlet at work.

*sigh* i am officially miserable. I promise that there will be happier posts in future.

One major thing that's happening at the moment is one of our family friends is in hospital. He is 17 years old and got Meningitis.

What is meningitis you ask

Meningitis is an inflammation of the meninges, the lining that protects the brain and spinal cord.
It is almost always caused by an infection, usually by a bacteria (bacterial meningitis) or a virus (viral meningitis). In rare cases it can be triggered by a fungus or parasite.
Meningitis occurs most commonly in young children under 5, those aged 17-25 (who often live in close quarters like dormitories and barracks), and people over age 55. It is quite bad in this situation. They came over to Australia from New Zealand for a holiday and the son was quite unwell. They thought it was just a common sickness and after taking him to the hospital they said it was no big deal. So anyway they arrive back in new zealand Saturday just gone and he was still unwell and spent the next couple of days in bed. On Monday I got a text message from my Mum saying that Daniel had been taken to hospital, that he wasn't responding to anything and that they had to put a tube down his throat to breathe. It was then confirmed that he had Meningitis on the brain. On Monday night they took him into surgery to remove a part of his skull to relieve the pressure on his brain. They found a couple of Absis's which is not good. Since then he has neither gotten better or worse. They took him in for an MRI yesterday and we have yet to know the results of the scan.

I am praying so hard that he makes it through. I am praying that he will get 100% better without brain damage or any other complications.

It is so sad. Please pray from this boy. It is extremely difficult on his family and people around him.
